How to download an Instagram Reel on iPhone, Android and a computer
The steps are the same on every device: copy the link of the video, paste it in the box above, press Get video, then press Download MP4.
iPhone. In the Instagram app, tap the Share arrow under the Reel and choose Copy link. Open this page in Safari, paste the link and press Get video. Press Download MP4 and tap Download when Safari asks. The file is in the Downloads folder of the Files app. To put it in Photos, open the file, tap Share and choose Save Video.
Android. In the Instagram app, tap the Share arrow and choose Copy link. Open this page in Chrome, paste the link and press Get video, then Download MP4. The file goes to your Downloads folder, and your gallery or Files app can open it.
Computer. Open the Reel on instagram.com and copy the address from the browser, or use the three dots menu and Copy link. Paste it above, press Get video and Download MP4. The file goes to your Downloads folder.
What you can and cannot download
The tool reads what Instagram shows to anyone without a login: public Reels, video posts and IGTV videos. If a post holds several videos, each one is listed with its own button. Photos have no video to save.
Stories, highlights, private accounts and age-restricted videos need a login. We never ask for your Instagram login and we do not want it, so those are out of reach. A video that was deleted has nothing to read, and a very large video (over 300 MB) is not sent.
Only download what you have the right to use
A video belongs to the person who made it. Download videos you made, or ones the creator has told you that you may use. Do not repost someone else's video as your own, and tell people who made it when they agree to a repost.

What quality is the video?
We pick the biggest single MP4 file Instagram offers for that video, up to 1080p, and send it as it is: we do not make the picture smaller or recompress it. Instagram often serves the one-file version at 720p. Its higher resolutions come as separate picture and sound tracks, which this tool does not join.
Is the sound included?
Yes. The MP4 holds the picture and the sound together, so it plays with sound in any player. If the original video has no sound, the MP4 has none either.
Can I download Stories, highlights or private videos?
No. Stories, highlights, private accounts and age-restricted videos need an Instagram login. We only read what anyone can see without logging in, and we never ask for your login.
Does Ziztu add a watermark?
No. We send the video file as Instagram serves it and add nothing to it: no watermark, no logo and no intro.
Is it free, and do I need to sign up?
It is free and there is no sign-up. Each network can look up 20 videos and save 30 files an hour, and a file can be up to 300 MB. If we have sent a lot of video in one day, the button changes to Open video, which opens the video in a new tab where you can save it.
Where does the downloaded file go?
It is saved like any other download from your browser: the Downloads folder on a computer and on Android, and the Downloads folder of the Files app on an iPhone. The file is called instagram- followed by the code of the post, and ends in .mp4.
Why does it say it cannot read my link?
Most often the video is private, was deleted, or needs a login. The link must point to one Reel or post. Sometimes Instagram does not let our server read a video for a few minutes: the message says so, and trying again later usually works.
Is it allowed to download someone else's Instagram video?
A video belongs to the person who made it. Download videos you made or have permission to use, and do not repost another person's video as your own. This tool is for your own videos and for videos you have the right to keep.
