Ziztu docs

Ziztu has a REST API, an MCP server and a guide for AI agents. Start with the agent guide to make a micro drama from Claude Code, or call the API from any language.

Updated

Pick your way in

Three ways to drive Ziztu from code. They all use the same account, the same credits and the same spend rules.

PageUse it when
Agent guideYou want Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Cursor to plan and make an episode. One command to install, a first run that makes no clips.
MCP serverYou want the install lines for each client, every tool by name, the settings and the fixes for common problems.
REST APIYou write the calls yourself. Auth, base URL, every endpoint, error codes and rate limits.

Also: the changelog lists what changed and when, and the machine-readable spec is at https://getziztu.com/api/v1/openapi.json.

What you can do with it

The API and the MCP server cover the same steps as the Studio:

  • Create a project and ask the Director to plan it: the cast, the places and every shot.
  • Apply the plan, then quote first frames, clips or music before you spend a credit.
  • Make first frames, animate the shots and generate music, each with a spend cap.
  • Follow the jobs, then export the finished film.
  • Run the Studio apps (animation, manga, story video, explainer, comedy skit) the same way.

Spend safety in four lines

  • max_credits is required on every paid call.
  • Above 500 credits you must also send confirm: true.
  • dry_run: true returns the exact price and starts nothing.
  • A key has scopes, so an agent can be limited to reading.

The full list is on the agent guide.

Keys and the free start

API keys are made in the Studio, under Settings, API keys. A key acts as your account and spends its credits.

New accounts get 40 free credits, enough to try a first clip. Plans start at $12 a month for 1,000 credits. See pricing for the packs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ziztu have an API?

Yes. The REST API is at https://getziztu.com/api/v1, with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec at https://getziztu.com/api/v1/openapi.json. You send an API key made in the Studio under Settings, API keys.

Is there an MCP server for Ziztu?

Yes. The Ziztu MCP server works in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and other MCP clients, and has tools for planning, pricing, making and exporting episodes. The install lines are on the MCP server page.

How do I stop an agent from overspending?

Every paid call needs max_credits and is refused if the price is higher. Above 500 credits it also needs confirm: true. You can also give the agent a key with the read scope only.
