The Ziztu Chrome extension turns text you select on a web page into an idea in Ziztu. This page explains what it does with your data. The short version: it collects none. Questions: [email protected].
What the extension collects
Nothing. It has no account, no sign-in and no analytics. It does not use cookies, advertising identifiers or fingerprinting. It does not contain or load remote code. It makes no network requests of its own.
What it does
- Right-click menu. When you select text on a page, it adds a "Make a scene with Ziztu" item to the browser's right-click menu. The extension only learns what you selected at the moment you click one of its items. It cannot read the page, your tabs or your history.
- Opening Ziztu. When you click an item, it opens a new tab at getziztu.com. Your selected text (cut to the length the page accepts) is part of that web address, so the idea is ready in the box. You choose to send it by clicking, and you can change it before anything is made.
- Toolbar popup. The popup has an idea box. What you type there goes into the same kind of link when you click a button. The popup keeps your unsent draft and your chosen format in its own local browser storage on your device so they are there next time. That draft is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it by emptying the box.
Permission
- contextMenus: to add the right-click item. The extension asks for no other permission, no host access and no "tabs" permission.

From that point you are on Ziztu's website, and the Ziztu Privacy Policy applies. The hand-off page keeps your idea in your browser's local storage so the setup can show it, and it does not save the idea on our servers. The links carry a campaign tag (utm_source=chrome-extension) so we can see how many people arrive from the extension, in the way the main policy describes.
Sharing and sale of data
The extension does not collect user data, so it has none to sell, share or transfer. It does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to its single purpose, for creditworthiness or lending, or for advertising.

If a later version changes any of this, we update this page and the date below before that version is released.
