MCP Server for Video Generation: Connect Ziztu to Your AI App
Ziztu is an MCP server for video generation. One address, https://getziztu.com/mcp, connects it to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Grok and Cursor. Sign in once, and your AI app plans, prices and makes micro drama and anime episodes with a spend cap you set.

Pick your app
Each page is written from the app's own official page, read on 18 October 2026, and says plainly which plans it needs.
Connecting takes three steps in every app
Step 1. Add the address
Paste https://getziztu.com/mcp where the app asks for an MCP server or custom connector. Every app below takes the same address, with no download and no key.

Step 2. Sign in to Ziztu and press Allow
The app opens Ziztu's sign-in. You choose what it may do: see your account, create and generate, export films. Press Allow.

Step 3. Ask for an episode
Start with a plan. Nothing is made yet, it uses only a few credits, and it shows you the price before anything is made.
Use Ziztu to plan a 60 second vertical micro drama about a baker who finds a love letter in the dough. Create the project, ask the Director to plan it, apply the plan, then quote the first frames. Do not make anything yet. Tell me the price and which shots are blocked.
What each app needs
The menus and plans differ. This is what each app's own page says. DeepSeek Harness is the one that uses an API key instead of the sign-in, through a community plugin.
| App | Where you add Ziztu | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Claude | Customize, Connectors, + Add, Add custom connector | Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. A Team or Enterprise Owner adds it first. |
| Claude Code | claude mcp add --transport http ziztu https://getziztu.com/mcp, then /mcp | Claude Code. Sign in from its /mcp menu. |
| ChatGPT | Plugins, +, Add custom MCP server | Business or Enterprise or Edu on the web. Pro connects read-only. |
| Codex | config.toml block or codex mcp add, then codex mcp login | The Codex CLI, ChatGPT desktop app or IDE extension (they share one config). |
| Grok | grok.com/connectors, New Connector, Custom | Grok. On Business and Enterprise a team admin provisions it first. |
| Cursor | An entry in mcp.json, then Customize | Cursor. Remote servers with OAuth are supported. |
| DeepSeek Harness | Plugins, Add plugin, then Settings, Ziztu | DeepSeek Harness 0.2.x and a Ziztu API key. It uses a key, not the sign-in. |
What you can do once Ziztu is connected
Ziztu is a studio for micro dramas and anime series, so the connection gives your AI app 30 tools for the whole job, not a single clip button:
- Plan. Ask the Director for the cast, the places and every shot of an episode, then apply the plan to a project.
- Price. Quote frames, clips or music before anything runs. The quote also lists any shot that is blocked and why.
- Make. Make the first frame of each shot, animate the shots you pick and generate the music, each with a spend cap you set.
- Keep going. Check jobs, check your credit balance and export the finished film as an MP4. The same project opens in the Ziztu studio, where you can edit it.
- Run apps. Start the one-shot Ziztu apps (animation, manga, story video and more) from the same chat.
The cast stays the same across every shot and every episode, because the characters live in the project and not in the chat.
What it makes: a real episode
This is The Wrong Wedding, a 32 second vertical episode made in Ziztu with the same three characters in all seven shots. It started from one sentence, the same kind of prompt you give your AI app.
The Wrong Wedding, episode 1: 32 seconds, seven shots, three characters, made in Ziztu from one sentence.
9:16 ยท 32 s
A live-action vertical micro drama, episode 1: on her wedding day a bride reads a message on the groom's phone and walks down the aisle anyway, smiling. End on a cliffhanger when she takes the microphone.
How your credits stay safe
Giving an AI app a way to spend money needs hard limits. These are enforced by the Ziztu API, not by the chat, so the app cannot talk its way around them:
- A spend cap on every paid call.
max_creditsis required on first frames, clips, music and app runs. If the exact price is higher, the call is refused before anything starts. - A second yes above 500 credits. A bigger spend also needs
confirm: true, and the tool descriptions tell the app to ask you first. - Price before spend. The
quotetool anddry_run: truereturn the exact credits and start nothing. - You choose the permissions. The consent screen lists three: see your account, create and generate, and export films. Untick Create and generate and the app can look but cannot spend.
- Disconnect any time. Open getziztu.com/oauth/connections, find the app and end it. The next call fails at once.
What it costs
A connection itself costs nothing. You pay in credits, on your own Ziztu account, and the price of each step is shown before it runs.
- Free to start: 40 free credits for scripts, character art, storyboards, voices and sound, plus your first 5 second video free, no card. More video starts at $12.
- Video needs a plan. Plans start at $12 a month. On Starter, a 5 second clip costs about $0.37 at 480p or $0.60 at 768p. See pricing for every plan and pack.
- Your app is billed separately. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Grok and Cursor have their own plans and limits. Ziztu only charges for what runs in Ziztu.
Why connect Ziztu and not a one-clip tool
Most video connectors give an AI app a button for one image or one clip. Ziztu gives it the whole job: a Director that plans the cast, the places and the shots, a project that keeps the same characters in every shot, a price before every spend, and an export. That is why it is built for micro dramas and anime series, where the story runs across many shots and many episodes.
If you are weighing it against Higgsfield's connector, which you add to Claude the same way, read Higgsfield MCP vs Ziztu MCP: what each does, what each costs and where each is stronger. For the tool list, the settings and the API, see the MCP server docs.
Make your Ziztu account first
The connection signs in to your Ziztu account, so make one first. 40 free credits for scripts, character art, storyboards, voices and sound, plus your first 5 second video free, no card. More video starts at $12.
How we checked
Menu labels and plan rules come from each app's official page, read on 18 October 2026: the Claude Help Center and Claude Code docs, the OpenAI Help Center and Codex docs, xAI's connector docs and Cursor's docs. Ziztu's own side (the address, the sign-in, the consent screen and the 30 tools) is its production MCP server. Apps change their screens, so the page for your app lists its sources.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Ziztu MCP server?
It is a connector at https://getziztu.com/mcp that lets an AI app use Ziztu. It has 30 tools to plan an episode with the Director, write the screenplay with the AI Script Writer, price it, make first frames, clips and music, check jobs and export the film.
Which AI apps can I connect Ziztu to?
Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT on plans that allow custom MCP servers, Codex, Grok and Cursor. Each has its own page with the exact steps and what it needs.
Is the connection free?
The connection costs nothing. 40 free credits for scripts, character art, storyboards, voices and sound, plus your first 5 second video free, no card. More video starts at $12. Your AI app has its own plan, billed by its maker.
Can an AI app overspend my credits?
No. Every paid call needs max_credits and is refused if the price is higher. Above 500 credits it also needs confirm. You pick the permissions on the consent screen, and you can end any connection at getziztu.com/oauth/connections.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Ziztu's connector is a hosted server. You paste one address, sign in and allow. Codex and Claude Code add it with a single command or config entry.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI apps connect to tools and data. A server tells the app which tools it has, and the app calls them while you chat.
