What a good YouTube script has
- A hook in the first ten seconds. It opens a loop with a question, a surprising claim or a scene, and says what the viewer gets for staying.
- One job for each section. A fact, an example or a story, with a name, a number or a place in it.
- A reason to keep watching at every turn. The end of each section hands the viewer a question that the next one answers.
- A payoff that answers the hook. If the video promised three costs, it shows three.
- An outro with one call to action that fits what the video was about, not a list of requests.
- Words you can say. Short sentences, contractions, no lists packed into a sentence.

Will it make up facts and statistics?
It is told not to invent statistics, studies, quotes or expert names, and to say when a figure is only an example. It can still get a fact wrong, so check every real number and claim before you publish.
Does it write what to show as well as what to say?
Yes. Each section has the words to say and a line on what is on screen: on-camera action, B-roll, a graphic or a screen recording, written so an editor can find or shoot it.
Will the script sound like me?
It writes in plain spoken language. Read it aloud, change any line that does not sound like you and keep the structure. The structure is what holds attention.
Who owns the script?
