How the TikTok transcript is made
The tool opens the public page of the video, the same page anyone can open without logging in. If the creator turned on captions, or TikTok made automatic ones, we use that track. If there is none, we read the sound of the video and turn it into text with the Whisper large-v3 model. The video itself is never saved.
Photo posts have no speech, so there is nothing to transcribe. Private accounts are not supported.
Under the transcript are three more free steps. Summary gives the main point and the key points. 5 hooks writes five opening lines for a new video on the same topic, from five different angles. A post writes a caption you can post. Each one reads only the text you got, and each is free.

How do I get the transcript of a TikTok video?

Do short links like vm.tiktok.com work?
Yes. Paste the short link the app gives you and we follow it to the video.
How long can the TikTok be?
Up to 3 minutes when we have to listen to it. A video with its own captions can be any length. For a longer video without captions, use the video to text converter on a file.
Does it work on private accounts?
No. We read only what TikTok shows to anyone, so a private account, or a video the creator limited to followers, cannot be read. We never ask for your TikTok login.
Do you keep the video?
No. The sound is read while the job runs and deleted when it ends. Only the finished text is kept, for 30 days, so a popular video is not paid for twice.
Why did my TikTok link not work?
Most often the video is private, was deleted, or sits behind a login, and we can only read public videos. A link with extra words around it is fine, but it must point to one video. If the site is not letting our server read the video right now, the message says so: try again in a few minutes, or download the video and use the video to text converter, which works on any file you have.
Can I use a transcript of someone else's video?
A transcript is the creator's own words, so treat it like any other copy of their work. Use it to read, search, take notes, make captions for a video you have the right to, or study how a good video is built. Do not republish it as your own. If you reuse the ideas, say where they came from.
