Which photos turn into the best anime
- A clear face. Faces that fill at least a fifth of the photo keep their features best. Sunglasses and heavy shadows hide what makes a face yours.
- Simple light. Daylight from a window or outdoors in the shade gives clean anime shading. Mixed colored lights can turn into odd skin colors.
- An interesting background. The setting is redrawn too, so a street, a park or a cafe gives a richer picture than a blank wall.
- Two or three people at most. Large groups make each face small, and small faces lose their likeness.

Will the anime version look like me?
The model is told to keep your face shape, hair, skin tone, clothes and pose, and in our tests the people stayed recognizable. It draws a new picture, so small details can change, and some styles, such as chibi, simplify a face on purpose.
Does it work with pets and group photos?
Yes. Pets come out in the same style with their fur colors and markings. Group photos work best with two or three people whose faces are clearly visible.
Can I use the picture as a profile picture or commercially?

Is my photo stored?
