How it works
Upload a product photo and describe the product, offer and target audience. Facebook Feed ads need a strong first three seconds to compete with the rest of the feed.
Choose the placement and aspect ratio. 4:5 takes up more vertical space in the Feed than 16:9 and typically gets more attention on mobile. Stories and Reels use 9:16 full-screen.
The AI writes the script, makes three shots from your photo and cuts them with a voiceover, music and captions into one 15 second MP4. Download it and upload it to Meta Ads Manager.
| Placement | Ratio to pick | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Feed | 4:5 or 1:1 | 4:5 takes more of the screen on phones |
| Instagram Feed | 4:5 or 1:1 | The first frame shows before the video plays |
| Facebook and Instagram Stories | 9:16 | Full screen; the hook is the first shot |
| Instagram Reels | 9:16 | Captions sit above the bottom buttons |
| Facebook Marketplace | 1:1 | A clear product shot first works best |
Facebook video ad formats in 2026
Facebook and Instagram share the same ad system (Meta Ads Manager), but each placement has its own video requirements. Feed ads use 4:5 or 1:1; Stories and Reels use 9:16. Running both shapes in the same campaign and letting Meta optimize placement usually outperforms running a single format.
Facebook Marketplace ads need a 1:1 ratio and work best with clean, high-contrast product shots as the opening frame. Avoid heavy motion in the first frame for Marketplace: it auto-plays without sound in a product listing context, so the visual needs to communicate the product immediately.
The first three seconds
Facebook and Instagram both auto-play video ads in the feed. If the first frame does not catch attention, the viewer scrolls past. The AI writes the hook for the first two to three seconds based on the specific benefit in your prompt. A clear product shot with the main benefit as the caption usually works better than opening on a logo.
Each run makes one ad with one hook. To test angles, run it again with a prompt that leads with the problem, the offer or a result. The credit cost per ad is shown before you generate.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI Facebook ad generator?
An AI Facebook ad generator creates short video ads for Meta placements (Facebook and Instagram) from a product photo and a description of the offer and audience. The AI writes the script, generates video clips and exports an MP4 in the aspect ratio you choose.
Which aspect ratio is best for Facebook video ads?
4:5 is the recommended ratio for Facebook and Instagram Feed ads. It takes up more vertical space on mobile screens than 16:9, which means more of the feed is covered and attention is more likely. For Stories and Reels, use 9:16 full-screen. One run makes one ratio, so for Feed and Stories together run it twice, once in 4:5 and once in 9:16.
Does Meta require an AI disclosure label?
Meta's AI labeling policy requires advertisers to disclose when a video ad includes realistic AI-generated or AI-altered content, including AI-generated people, voices or backgrounds. Use the AI-generated label option (on by default) and apply the label in Meta Ads Manager during upload. For EU campaigns, the EU AI Act also requires labeling.
Can I use AI actors as Facebook ad testimonials?
No. FTC guidelines prohibit presenting AI-generated people as real customers or endorsers, which is what a testimonial-style ad implies. Meta's own policies also require disclosure for AI-generated people in ads. The script writer is told never to write testimonials.
What video length works best for Facebook ads?
This tool makes 15 second ads, a common length for Feed, Stories and Reels. People scroll fast, so the hook has to work in the first shot. That is why the first of the three shots is always the hook.
Does the ad have sound and captions?
Yes. Every ad comes with an AI voiceover (ElevenLabs), a music bed (Lyria) that ducks under the voice, and one on-screen caption per shot. Many people watch feed videos with the sound off, so the captions carry the message on their own. One 15 second ad costs 148 credits: 3 keyframes (GPT Image 2.5), three 5 second clips (H3 Max Turbo at 480P), a voiceover (ElevenLabs) and a music bed (Lyria). New accounts get 40 free trial credits, which is not enough for one ad, so an ad needs a plan or a credit top up.
