Mitate presets

Start from a preset

Each preset loads a clip of ours with the mode and the generation mode we recommend. You add only the character, or change the words. The loops are real runs: the clip on the left, the result on the right.

Basic, Premium, Ultra

Pick the generation mode. We pick the model.

Each mode shows the exact price in credits for your clip and the model it runs on. Underneath, we route your request to the model that does it best for the clip length and the number of people, and a run that fails is refunded in full. Where a smaller size of the same model can finish the job we try it for you and charge what that run costs, never more than the price you saw. A mode that has no better model for a job is not offered for it: changing the place or swapping an object has no Ultra yet. Turning a clip anime redraws only the person on Basic and the whole frame, background included, on Premium and Ultra.

Clips of 15 to 30 seconds, and four people at once, run on H3 Max Recast, 768p: 5,200 credits per 5 s, 7,790 credits per 5 s at 1080p.

Credits are the exact quote for a 5 second clip, the same function that charges you. A clip is billed per started second. A higher mode costs more because it runs a larger model or more pixels. Model names are the engines we run today and can change; the mode stays.

Frequently asked questions

What is Mitate?

Mitate is Ziztu's tool for seeing a clip as something else. You bring a clip, and Mitate keeps its motion, its camera and its sound while it changes who is in it, where it happens or what they hold. The name is Japanese (見立て) for seeing one thing as another.

What can I change in a clip?

Five things, each a tab in the tool. Recast a character puts your character in place of the person and keeps the scene. Copy the motion makes your character do the moves of the clip, in its own scene. Change the place swaps the background, from a sentence or a picture. Swap an object changes one thing in the shot, from a sentence or a picture. Turn it anime redraws the whole clip as anime from your words.

How much does Mitate cost?

Every price shows before anything runs, for your clip. For a 5 second clip, recasting a character costs 750 credits on Basic, 1870 on Premium and 2910 on Ultra, and copying the motion costs 620, 1870 and 2910. Changing the place or swapping an object from a sentence costs 380 credits on Basic; with a picture it is 380 on Basic or 600 on Premium. Turning a clip anime costs 380 credits on Basic, which redraws the person and keeps your background, 1490 on Premium and 2600 on Ultra, which redraw the whole frame. Your first 5 second video is free, and it can be a recast of up to 5 seconds with one character, on Premium, with a small watermark and no card. A longer clip, another generation mode and every later run use credits, which start on any plan or a credit pack.

What are Basic, Premium and Ultra?

They are the three generation modes, and you see the exact price and the model of each before you run. Basic is fast and cheap, to try an idea. Premium is sharper, for the clip you post, and it is the one we pick first. Ultra is the best we run, for the final cut, including clips of 15 to 30 seconds and up to four people recast at once. Underneath, we route your request to the model that does it best and name it on the card. If a run fails it is refunded in full, and where a smaller size of the same model can finish the job we try it and charge what that run costs, never more than the price you saw. A mode with no better model for a job is not offered for that job.

Can I use any clip and any face?

Any clip you have the right to use, and only adults. Real people only from photos you upload, with a tick that you have the right to use their likeness. No celebrities, politicians or other public figures, by name or by likeness. Nothing sexual. Fictional, anime and cartoon characters you made or have the right to use are welcome. Results from free accounts carry a small watermark, and every result has a report link.

How long does it take, and what do I get back?

A 5 second clip takes about 2 to 7 minutes depending on the model, and you can leave the page: the result waits in your files. You get an MP4 and a before and after slider, and you can open the result in Ziztu Studio to cut it into a project. Clips and pictures you upload are deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

Recast your first clip free.

Your first 5 second video is free with a free account, no card. A longer or second run uses credits, which start on any plan.
