What Kling is for

Kling, from Kuaishou, is one of the leading video models, known for realistic human motion and, in Kling 3.0, native audio. It is used from Kling's own app and through an API. The app's subscription prices are only shown after you sign in, so the public numbers below are the API prices, from the official page on 11 October 2026:

  • API list price: 1 unit = $0.14
  • Kling 3.0: $0.084 a second at 720p and $0.112 at 1080p without native audio; $0.126 and $0.168 with native audio; $0.42 at 4K
  • Kling 3.0 Turbo with native audio: $0.112 a second at 720p, $0.14 at 1080p
  • The consumer membership prices are not on a public page: the plan page sends signed-out visitors to the home page

Why people look for an alternative

  • A different look. Kling leans toward realism; anime and stylized work can come out better on other models.
  • One model is rarely enough. Many creators use Kling for action and another model for dialogue or close-ups, and want them in one place.
  • Planning and editing. A clip generator does not plan shots, keep a character the same across a story or cut the film.
  • Price for volume. Per-second prices add up quickly at 1080p with audio.

The alternatives

Runway has its own Gen-4.5 model and also includes Kling 3.0 in its plans.

  • Free: $0, 125 one-time credits

  • Max: $95 a month, or $76 a month billed yearly, 9,500 credits a month, unused credits roll over for a month
  • Gen-4.5 uses 12 credits a second (60 credits for 5 seconds); the plans also include other models such as Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro

Hailuo is MiniMax's app for its Hailuo and H3 models, with yearly plans that make H3 cheap per second.

  • Free: $0, one-time free trial credits, Hailuo models only
  • Standard: $8.40 a month billed yearly ($100.80 a year), 1,000 credits a month
  • Pro: $30.40 a month billed yearly ($364.80 a year), 4,500 credits a month

Where Ziztu fits

Ziztu is less an alternative to Kling than a studio that includes it. Kling 3.0 Pro (with sound) and Kling O3 sit next to MiniMax H3, Seedance 2.5, Grok Imagine and HeyGen's video model, all priced in one credit balance, so each shot can use the model that suits it. A 5 second Kling 3.0 Pro clip at 1080p with sound costs 208 credits; a 5 second H3 Max Turbo clip at 768P costs 50. Around the models, a Director plans the shots, character sheets keep the cast the same, and the clips, music and captions are cut on one timeline.

If you only need Kling clips, Kling's own app or a single-model plan can cost less. Ziztu earns its place when you are making a whole film.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Kling AI alternative?

It depends on the shot. Hailuo and Ziztu run MiniMax H3, which is strong for calm acting and dialogue. Runway has Gen-4.5. Veo 3.1 has native audio. Many creators keep Kling for action and use another model for the rest, which is why multi-model tools are popular.

Is there a free Kling AI alternative?

Runway gives 125 one-time credits, Hailuo gives one-time trial credits, and Ziztu gives new accounts 40 free credits for 480p results with a watermark. None of them is unlimited.

How much does Kling cost?

Kling's app shows its subscription prices after sign-in. Its public API price list on 11 October 2026 charged $0.084 to $0.168 a second for Kling 3.0 at 720p to 1080p, depending on native audio, and $0.42 a second at 4K.

Can I use Kling inside Ziztu?

Yes. Kling 3.0 Pro and Kling O3 are among Ziztu's video models. A 5 second Kling 3.0 Pro clip at 1080p with sound costs 208 credits.

Which alternative is best for anime?

Start every clip from a clean anime first frame and use image to video. MiniMax H3 holds a flat 2D look well from a good keyframe; ask for "2D-animated" and "no 3D" in the prompt to stop drift toward a 3D look.
